Abstract

Anthropometric data are scarcely useful without the confirmation of allowable measurement error. Although the complex errors of measurement are expected, they has not been strictly managed due to non-existence of standard protocol that train measurer to perform within the error range allowable. This study showed the standard protocol of keeping allowable measurement level and managing accurate anthropometric measurement. Twelve university students participated as measurers and forty university students as subjects. The technical error made among measurers was determined and compared with error from actual pilot survey. The results suggests the way of avoiding the errors caused by measurement technique or protocol.
