Abstract
Cafés create a distinctive emotional experience for customers through lighting, effectively guiding user behavior. In this paper, we employ principal component analysis to examine the emotional words associated with cafés, establish an emotional model of cafe lighting, and develop a structural model that connects the emotions elicited by cafe lighting with specific lighting elements. The results indicate that: (1) the representative words for the two axes of the two-dimensional emotional model of cafés are captivation-Calm and Joy-Despondent respectively. (2) The café lighting elements are distributed across the four quadrants of the two-dimensional emotional model.
